TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Lorean Jewellery is a business in the jewellery industry that specialises in the design and manufacturing of fine jewellery.
1. ORDERS
1.1 Purchase of products
When you order a product from our website you are offering to buy it at the price stated, subject to these terms. We will take all reasonable care to ensure that all details, descriptions and prices of products appearing on the website are correct at the time when the relevant information was captured.
We reserve the right to refuse an order. Non-acceptance of an order may, for example, result from one of the following:
• The product ordered being unavailable from stock
• Our inability to obtain authorisation of payment
• The identification of an error within the product information, including price or promotion
• Incorrect order information supplied by customer, including but not limited to erroneous shipping methods and or product selections.
1.2 Prices
Prices displayed on the website are shown in Rand, including VAT. Prices are subject to change at any time.
Deliveries will be charged in addition to the price of the products. For very precious items, we may ask you to pay an extra fee, to cover the specific shipping cost.

1.3 Delivery address
We cannot be held responsible for an incorrect address being entered while ordering on our website. If you complete your Order and then notice that the address details are incorrect, please contact us immediately: info@lorean.co.za
1.4 Order acceptance and cancellation
Your receipt of an electronic or other form of order confirmation does not signify our acceptance of your order, nor does it constitute confirmation of our offer to sell. We reserve the right at any time after receipt of your order to accept, decline, or limit your order for any reason, whether or not your credit card has been charged. If your credit card has been charged and your order is cancelled, you will receive a refund.
Once an order has been placed, it cannot be cancelled unless the shipment is unavoidably delayed. In this case, we will do our best to cancel the order if requested.
2. PAYMENT
2.1 Payment options
Payments can be made via Visa, Mastercard or by bank transfer (Electronic Funds Transfer) into the Lorean Jewellery bank account, the details of which will be provided on request.
2.2 Card acquiring and security
Card transactions will be acquired for Lorean Jewellery via PayGate (Pty) Ltd who are the approved payment gateway for all South African Acquiring Banks. DPO PayGate uses the strictest form of encryption, namely Secure Socket Layer 3 (SSL3) and no Card details are stored on the website. Users may go to www.paygate.co.za to view their certificate and security policy.
2.3 Customer details seperate from card details
Customer details will be stored by Lorean Jewellery seperately from card details which are entered by the client on DPO PayGate's secure site. For more detail on DPO PayGate refer to www.paygate.co.za
2.4 Merchant Outlet country and transaction currency
The merchant outlet country at the time of presenting payment options to the cardholder is South Africa. Transaction currency is South African Rand (ZAR)
2.5 Export Restrictions
The offering on this website is available to South African clients only.
3. CHANGES IN PRODUCTS AND PRICING
We are constantly updating and revising our offerings of products, and we may discontinue products at any time without notice. All pricing for our products is subject to change. For all of our prices and products, we reserve the right to make adjustments due to changing market conditions, currency fluctuations, product discontinuation, manufacturer price changes, errors in advertisements, and other extenuating circumstances.
4. MANUFACTURING AND SHIPPING POLICY
Delivery is subject to availability and receipt of payment. We aim to process your order requests within 72 hours of it being placed. Once processed, please allow for 15 working days for the manufacturing of all Shop items (online purchase). Delivery will be confirmed by way of email.
The manufacturing lead time for Bespoke Orders (custom-designed items) can be up to 3 - 6 weeks.
Lorean Jewellery only ships orders Monday to Friday, during office hours, and does not operate on public holidays or weekends.
Once an order has been registered and payment accepted, and the order shipped, it is in the courier/postal service's care. We are not liable for any errors made by these 3rd party services.
Once you have received your parcel, please open it with care. Lorean Jewellery is not liable for any items damaged during the opening of your parcel. Any guarantees or representations made as to delivery times are subject to any delays resulting from courier/postal delays or force majeure for which we will not be responsible.
5. ADVERTISING DISCLAIMER AND TRADEMARKS
We attempt to be as accurate as possible with products descriptions and prices. However, we do not warrant that product descriptions or prices are accurate. In the event that a product is listed at an incorrect price or with incorrect information due to typographical error or error in pricing or product information received from our suppliers and brands, we shall have the right to refuse or cancel any orders placed for products listed at the incorrect price. We shall have the right to refuse or cancel any such orders whether or not the order has been confirmed and your credit card has been charged. If your credit card has already been charged for the purchase and your order is cancelled, we shall immediately issue a credit to your credit card account in the amount of the charge. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause you. If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, you may return it in accordance with our Return Policy, as set forth below.
6. RETURN & EXCHANGE POLICY
The provision of goods by Lorean Jewellery is subject to availability. In the unlikely case of unavailability, Lorean Jewellery will refund the client in full within 30 days.
6.1 Return Policy
We want all of our customers to be happy with purchases made at Lorean Jewellery. However, if you receive any products that you are unhappy with, you may contact us within 2 weeks of receiving it and we will offer you a store credit for the item. The purchase price is the amount you paid for the product and does not include any delivery costs.
All products are returnable, excluding:
Bespoke Orders (custom-made jewellery items)
Earrings (for hygiene reasons)
Products returned must be unused, unworn, and undamaged. We shall have no obligation to accept any return that we receive after the expiration of the applicable return period (2 weeks after receipt of your parcel). Please ensure when returning the parcel that the products are properly protected.
We are not held responsible for the damage of chains. Chains are delicate by nature and care needs to be taken when wearing them. All chains will be charged a replacement fee, kindly contact us for the applicable chain fee.
6.2 Exchange policy
If you wish to exchange a product, you will be given a store credit that you will be able to use towards your next order. Please be aware that any purchases made with store credits are processed as a new order and standard courier costs and delivery times will apply.
You are held responsible for courier costs of returning the item. We recommend using a registered courier to return items, as we are not liable for any items lost in the post.
6.3 Repair policy
Lorean Jewellery takes the best care to ensure that each piece is practical and comfortable, but like all jewellery care must be taken when wearing them. We will repair any Lorean Jewellery pieces for free within 3 months of purchase if the repair needed is due to a manufacturing fault.
As it is extremely difficult to determine whether the damage was caused by negligence, we can not be held responsible for the replacement of diamonds or gemstones.
As we do not manufacture any chains ourselves, we cannot be held liable for the damage of chains. Chains are delicate by nature and care needs to be taken when wearing them. All chains will be charged at a replacement fee, kindly contact us for the applicable chain fee.
If a jewellery repair is needed for a customer based outside of Pretoria, the customer will be liable for all postage/courier costs. We do not offer repair services for any jewellery items that were not manufactured by Lorean Jewellery.
7. CUSTOMER PRIVACY POLICY
Lorean Jewellery shall take reasonable steps to protect the personal information of users. For the purpose of this clause, "personal information" shall be defined as detailed in the Promotion of Access to Information Act 2 of 2000 (PAIA). 8. RESPONSIBILITY
Lorean Jewellery takes responsibility for all aspects relating to the transaction including sale of goods sold on this website, customer service and support, dispute resolution and delivery of goods.
9. COUNTRY OF DOMICILE
The website is governed by the laws of South Africa and Lorean Jewellery chooses as its domicilium citandi et executandi for all purposes under this agreement, whether in respect of court process, notice or other documents or communication of whatsoever nature (457 Rodericks Road, Lynnwood, Pretoria 0081)
10. VARIATION
Lorean Jewellery may, in its sole discretion, change this agreement or any part thereof at any time without notice.
